My name is Adele and I am a Copic Addict!

The title says it all!

I ordered a few new Copics over the weekend from two different online shops. One order arrived yesterday but unfortunately it was the one with a boring, but needed, C3 refil, a Warm Grey, W5 to build on my grey collection, and a white Fine Posca. Perhaps boring is not the right way to phrase them, but not very exciting either.

Unfortunately, the NEW colours that I ordered from a different site still haven't arrived! So eager to get my sticky mitts on them, especially as it took me SOOOO LONG to decide on which colours to buy! It's just as well I have had a meeting at Amelia's school for a good part of the day otherwise I would be in serious sulky mode!

I did however receive a new marker holder bag to store some of my Copic stash in! My new little lid labels really work well but only time will tell how user friendly my new system is. Hopefully I will be very pleased with it and I will probably be ordering another one very shortly so that I can store my Greys and Earth colours in the same way. (They are currently stored in the small Copic case which only holds 24 markers.)

Still need to work out how and where to store my Copic Refills though!

Yes, my name is Adele and I am definitely a Copic Addict!

Copic colour organisation!

Well, it's been a few weeks since my last blog post. Have I made much progress with my craft room organisation? Ermmmm......not a lot!

In my defense, during that time I have had Amelia at home for half term, several hospital appointments and for 4 days this week Amelia has been at home again due to the school closures and hazardous weather conditions! I am starting to feel a little housebound and if not careful, going a bit stir crazy! Just getting out the door for a short walk has been a bit of a challenge!

I needed to find something I could do that didn't need much concentration and that I could easily pick up and put down as Amelia is a constant source of distraction! SO, I decided to attack my Copic collection!

Now my Copic collection isn't huge and some are up to nine years old, when I purchased my first set. I have mainly Ciao markers but more recently I have treated myself to a few Sketch markers and I also have a handful of refills. I need a portable form of storage as colouring is one of the crafty activities I do tend to do sat down with the family whilst watching TV. So I need portable storage that is adaptable enough to cater for various shapes and sizes of markers.

Before I start working on that I decided to make up a new chart to show an updated list of exactly what I have, that way when I order more I don't end up with any duplicates which I did last time I treated myself! (That really hurt to think that I could have had more colours to my little collection! LOL)

Over the last few evenings I have made up a check list and very happily filled it in as I have gone through each of my colour ranges. It's very much still a work in progress and I am eagerly awaiting the delivery of another small order so I can colour in a few more boxes but unfortunately the bulk of the order is refills for colours I already have and it's not as satisfying as getting a "brand new colour" to my collection!

I will need to put the next stage of organisation on hold until Amelia is back at school so for now I will revert back to colouring a few of the images I have just sitting there waiting.

Take care out there.

Organising my stamps!

With the delivery of a few more unmounted stamps yesterday I was busy stamping up load of images and trying to start organising storage for them. Up 'til now my unmounted stamps have sat in a shallow drawer in a filing cabinet. I have cut up pieces of card to fit into the packaging bags of my Magnolia, Nellies, Maggie & Hamish stamps, stamped on the image and labelled the tops. They are all sat in a little plastic "take away" type carton for now until I find a more suitable box.

I stamp and cut around quite a lot of my images rather than work directly on the card, if you know what I mean, so after stamping loads of images, I have coughly cut around them and placed them in the appropriate little bag so I should always have a stamped image at hand. This is great for me as I can take my little box downstairs of an evening and happily cut around the images while watching TV with hubby.

I want a bigger box now so I HAVE to buy more stamps to fill it up!!! LOL...I hope to do the same with the rest of my unmounted stamps soon, that way it will free up another couple of drawers to put my A4 cardstock in. One day I WILL be organised.

CBC May Challenge- 13 MESSY

Another photo please of your craft space NOW no titivating we need to see it as it is!!

Now this goes both ways here as one of the reasons I have been a bit quiet is that we decided to have a little move around yesterday and I have been online this morning ordering some storage for papers.

Now this side is the tidy side, the side that has recently been cleared, cleaned and moved. The computer relocated eventually the printer reconnected so I can now actually PRINT!!!

and this is the side that everything got thrown onto to clear on and under the worktable so that we could actually move it!!! Yeah I know CBC Challenge weekend wasn't a good time but it was strike while the iron was hot and Chris was around to help.

I have ordered some Vertical storage Cropper hoppers and I am going to try and find some old cupboards next so I can have a 3 mtr worktop running the lenght of the little box room!!

CBC May Challenge 6 - Crafty storage

"We need a picture of your favourite storage item can be shop bought or made. The catch here is the item must NOT be purpose built – ie a paper rack for paper nah thats just not on we need clever crafty ideas"

Some of my fav crafty storage has got to be those made for me by the lovely Juanita. I suppose these are "purpose built" but I needed to include them! I especially love the little fabric bowl which I keep all my most used bits and bobs in rather than lose them in the chaos of my desk!

My little blue fishy pot is ancient, not actually sure of where it came but it sits on my desk with watercolour pencils in it and I use it all the time!
