BAAAAAD Timing!!!!!

Oh my...why, why, why???? It just had to be the day I had set side to play catch up on the mound of paperwork when Mr Postie arrives with these beauties! LOL

Come on Adele, don't get distracted by the pwetty flowers! Stay focused and get the job done, that way I will have more time to play later in the week...guilt free!

I must stay away from the box, stay away from the box, stay away from the box.

New stash overload!!!

Oh my!!! When all the little orders you placed before/during the snow turn up at the same time!! (Does a happy dance!) When you sit and admire your new stash and look forward to slotting some of it in to your newly organised storage.

When you are just so happy with your new stash, you don't think it gets any better....then this bad boy arrives!!!

Watch out, if it doesn't move it will end up being labelled!

Just wishing I had ordered the power cable as well.
(goes off to the garage in search of hubby's battery stash!)

Happy crafting everyone!

OOppps, I did it again!

Thank you Mr Postie! (Does a happy dance)

I NEEDED a few crafty bits and bobs, so in between some of the appointments I had this last week I treated myself!

This is what I NEEDED:

ONE tube of TILA beads.

and a refill for one of my Copics that has been needed for, literally, years!!!

Ahem, here is what I ordered.

FIVE tubes of TILA beads....I just saw all the pwetty colours and HAD to treat myself. I then proceeded to add another bead tube stand, well I NEEDED that in my vain attempt to organise.

Here are some of my scrummy beads all sitting pretty in my little tube stands! Aren't they lovely?
I think so. With my extras that jumped into the basked I got free delivery and had a 10% off code to use too.

And I just couldn't order one Copic refill could I, especially as they were on offer at Cult Pens for only £5.57. Then as I have been sorting out my Copic stash I just HAD to add a few more colours to my collection. I also ordered a few Faber-Castell Polychromos to try out, once again on offer for 3 for the price of 2. Just when I was about to check out I noticed this Copic Glitter pen that I had been meaning to try out ages ago, so who am I to deny myself the opportunity.

JUST LOOK at all the money I have saved Chris!
(love you lots! kissy, kissy!)

Bye for now.

Adele.

Ooops, I did it again!

Tee hee hee! This is the second part of my crafty delivery which arrived this week! I have taken them all out of their wrappers, tried most of them out, then stored them safely on my shelves. I cannot resist a bargain and, after all, I need to play a bit of catch up! Think of the last few years overall, I have hardly spent anything on crafting! (That's my excuse and I am sticking to it!)

I thought this weekend would be spent mainly in the garden but instead of sunshine today we have cloud, came out of the dentist with Jack an Amelia and was surprised that it was raining. It hadn't been forecast at all and it wasn't enough to put anything in our empty rain butts and now it's trying to brighten up.

I have most of the day to myself now, perhaps I could even fit in some craft time!

Changes ahead and New crafty stash alert!

It's been a really funny week. Amelia is still not right, her cough has caused many sleepless nights and now it seems I have got a cold too. Chris has unofficially started his new role at work and the 4am wake up call on Wednesday had a knock on effect on my body clock for the rest of the week!

With all the changes ahead of us and taking my back and health issues into consideration, I have had a little chat with my Manager at the Pre-school and asked if there was a possibility of cutting my hours in September. If not, I will be packing up work completely!!!! EEK!!! Either way I NEED more time, energy and motivation to dedicate to my family, our house and our home lives.

It feels selfish, it feels wrong but I need something to give and I don't want "that something" to be the type of mum or wife I am to my loving family.

My life is upside down at the moment, so in times of uncertainty BUY STASH!

Here is the first batch of my new goodies! (Does a happy dance)

I hope that whatever my "new life" entails, I will definitely be able to have more time to get creative, get organised and plan ahead rather than the lastminute.com attitude I have had to resort to over the last few years.

Only time will tell!

Oh happy dance, Stampin' Up Stash alert!

Oh dear, I have only done 1 report, just about to start my second when Mr UPS knocked at my door! The temptation was just tooooo much for me to resist and I ran into the dining room with my box and opened it immediately! I am sure you can understand my lack of will power!

How will I chose which set to try out first?

Well actually I chose pretty quickly but it not a proper try out...only a snippet sample
BUT I love this set already. I made these up in next to no time.

Sorry, like a kid in a candy shop. Cannot wait to have a proper play...and a good look at the new catty.
I think I will need to get a new pack of post-it notes out!

Bye for now.

Some crafty spending to revive my mojo!!

Just a little bit of spending to hopefully get the creativity kick started. It worked, well it had to seeing as I hadn't made a Mother's Day card for my mum until yesterday afternoon. I was eagerly looking out the window for the majority of yesterday morning in hope that Mr Postie would turn up trumps.....and he did!!!!! Scrummy flowers, seam binding and twine, will need to continue sorting all my stash in preparation for some more colours! I have really enjoyed trying out my new stash, thank you Tracy of Creative Treasures! I will reveal my latest creation shortly, after my mum has seen it!!! LOL
Happy Mother's Day!

Cannot play yet....but look forward to trying these little babies out!! LOL

Whoo Hoo for Charmed Cards and Crafts!

I almost attacked the Postie today as he has loads of parcels for me. Some were quite small ( the images from the latest rubber stamped image swap I am hosting over at Carolyn's) but there was also one larger one....a 12x12 size one........whoo hooo!

Here's what I have spread all over my little craft room at the moment!

Some more Basic Grey!

Some K& Co!

And a few odds and ends.....as you can see, I ripped the quickutz out of it's packaging and had to try it out straight away! (doesn't everyone do that?)

Lighting is awful, but I couldn't resist spreading them all out.....beautiful Karen, and wonderful service as ever. Thank you!!!!

I also need to send a special thanks to someone else who will remain nameless- Thank you!

Thank goodness for Mr Postie!

Had a really rotten morning! All tired, Amelia must have woken us 6-7 times on Friday night. A trip to the dentist followed by a mad dash up to Speech & Language, where Amelia wasn't very cooperative shall we say!! I got back home about midday feeling like I had just run a marathon but good old Mr Postie came to the rescue with some goodies for me.

I had placed a little order from The Glittter Pot, how could you resist stamps at that price!!! Only downfall was the scrummy Basic Grey Paper Pad and brads....if only I had ordered MORE!
Sorry about awful lighting on this!)

Then I opened up a gorgeous little sampler tag that Calv very kindly sent me. I want to try out some Distress Inks and was trying to decide which colours to go for first- only problem is they all look so wonderful it has confused me even more.
Waffle over- going get a glass of wine and do a bt of stamping!

A Blooming bargain!

I had a little bit of money sitting, burning a hole in my Paypal account so when I saw some blooms, reduced and with free P&P I went for it. I didn't get all the colours I would have liked but this little lot cost me just over £10!!!! A BLOOMING BARGAIN in my little opinion!
I am supposed to be studying for my NVQ but got distracted by the postie!!LOL.

What a funny day!

I am tired, just drained from Christmas and the children constantly bickering. Amelia has been quite "challenging" shall we say! I am trying to fight off some bug that has been hovering around for weeks but not really materialising...leaving me feeling...well...just YUK! Emotionally and physically YUK!

Some very kind person sent me a Christmas card with a voucher in it so spend at Charmed Cards and Crafts so I dithered around yesterday and placed my order, spent my voucher...and ahem...a little bit more! What a lovely boost this morning when the postie knocked at my door with my goodies. What fantastic service-thank you so much!!!
Here is what I got:
Some K & Co

Some Imaginisce

and some All My Merories.

Oh my goodness - what to try first!!!! What a dilemma!

After opening my wonderful new stash, I had to leave it as we had booked tickets to the cinema. Amelia didn't really enjoy the film as much as she has done in the past and I couldn't really concentrate on the film as I was trying to keep Amelia quiet and happy. Came out and then the children started squabbling again as soon as we were in the car. By the time we got home I was feeling pretty fed up ! Walked into the hallway, postie had been again leaving me with two stamps from Toodles & Binks...whoo hoo...Thank you Kay!!

Chris was laughing, he stepped to oneside and sitting in the hall was a large box, a Dyson box, and stuck to the side was a verse!

To Adele & Chris

We're sorry this is late

For the sale we had to wait

You can now hoover through like a breeze

and stay up off your knees

lots of love Mum & Dad!

xxxxxx

Well, what did I do....I cried!!

(Ages ago, when I was having a particually hectic week, Mum came over while I was at work, without me knowing and hoovered the front room for me. She commented that she couldn't get it to work very well and I explained the best way to get it to work was not to use it as an upright, but use the hose....I explained I got down on my hands and knees. Not good at all for my back or my knees especially now we have the extension- I simply cannot hoover through the whole house the same day!)

Chris and Jack have gone out again now, waiting patiently for them to come back so we can have a cuppa and a cuddle....pull myself together a bit...and then try out the new hoover!!

Sad life I lead!

New goodies to play with!!!

Before Christmas I was very lucky enough to win £50 of goodies of my own choice from Jennie at http://www.theartisticstamper.com/ . Well I am not called Dilly Dally Dingle for the sake of it.....do you think I could chose what goodies to get. Eventually I made out a list - stuck to it and Jennie worked wonders!!!!!

I really am not much of a stamper but New Year and all that...gonna try a stretch myself a bit more! Here are a few pics of my new goodies!!

So no guessing what I have been playing with today!!! I am about to take part in my first ever rubber stamp image swap on Crafts by Carolyn, so I stamped a few images...then I made my first card using my wonderful stamps. Again I dithered like made, faffing around with the layout THEN...inspiration struck in the format of Sue's New Year Scrapbook Challenge Template again, over on CBC!!!
With that inspiration I ended up with THIS!!! Not really happy with the card as a whole but I think I could get to enjoy the stamping!!

Playing catch up!!!

Been a bad blogger for a few days, life just takes over sometimes. We had a childfree weekend- not for partying I am afraid, for boring stuff like life insurance for the new mortgage! After that Chris and me took a leisurely walk around a few shops where I got myself some bargain blooms from Dunelm Mills- thanks for the tip off ladies on CBC! After that we enjoyed some time together...clearing out the garage ready for the extension- how romantic!!! LOL!!! At the end of the day, whatever we do, it is nice to spend quality time with Chris- and yes that even includes sorting out the garage!!

Monday, I took an adult numeracy exam, not sure why I did it really, but it was part of the course at the school so somehow I found an extra few hours out of my already bulging schedule to sit down and do sums for and hour and 15minutes. I had had a terrible night - was woken at 4am, and after finishing the test and checking it through- I sat there watching the clock, shivering and yawning for 30minutes, thinking, I have so much else I should be doing!!
Yesterday I spent a good part of the day going through the Down Syndrome Group Accounts and I still have all of Amelia's statement to go through too!!! I have told myself I am not even going to touch that today- and give myself a complete day away from paperwork. But it still hovers in the back of my mind, knowing I have to do it all tomorrow and Friday.
Right, now I am going to put on my new CD and dance around as I finish a bit of housework and then spend some time crafting!!!!!! Might even use one or two of my beautiful blooms!!!!
