Dottie's been Tagged!

Over on Dottie's World it was time for me to set my first ever Sunday challenge!!! GULP!

I was going to be all prepared with an idea (that I needed to try out first may I add!) when Lou announced the “rota” and there I was at the top of the list and panic set in. With the children on holiday I put my idea away for another time and resorted to something a bit simpler!

"This week I want to see a tag or tags of any shape or size. It could be tag shape toppers, gift tags, tag books....and because hubby and me have just celebrated our wedding anniversary....for an extra Dottie bonus I would love to see some hearts and flowers too!!!"

The rest of the team have come up with some wonderful creations again; I hope you are as inspired as I am and Lou has shown some of the wonderful new "Spooky" collection too!

Here's what I came up with....after a lot of faffing around!

I loved working with the little love birds image, I had such fun blending colours for their plumage but unfortunately it doesn't really show on the pics.....after that I attacked them both with my pearlised paints, a glitter gel pen for detail and of course finished off with some glossy accents!

Anniversary card order!

Chris came home from work on Friday with a personalised card order - the lady had included loads of personalised info in the form of a sketch. I have tried to make it "look right" this afternoon, but just couldn't. It looked far too cluttered for a standard A5 card...so I have made it into a concertina card!! I do hope the lady isn't offended by me not using her sketch!!!

I have blanked out the personalised details but here is the finished card in very poor lighting...why haven't I used those Daisy D papers before?

It's catch up time.

We have been spending today playing "catch up" but not getting very far. We have managed to produce 2 bigs black sacks full of clutter but stil the house looks like a bombsite. (I have some amazingly clean and tidy cupboards though!)

Chris made good progress in the garage- dismantled a big shelving unit and re-assembled it in the playhouse at the bottom of the garden. IF this extension is ever going to get done we still have so much to do!

This afternoon I have plodded through the card I needed to make, with loads of stopping and starting and interruptions from the kiddies (& Chris) I got done eventually, but the lighting really wasn't that good by the time I had finished!! Got a busy day visiting family tomorrow so I might not get another chance to take pics, so here they are- as good as they are gonna get!
