Dottie gets Framed!

Over on Dottie's World this week Dottie needs to get FRAMED!!!
Details of the FRAME IT challenge along with details of £10 voucher blog candy

I decided to put the gorgeous Market Day image (from Sugar and Spice collection) behind acetate for a "window" effect and then to frame it with snowflakes. I am not at all sure about the finsihed card and whether it actually "works but I have found it rather difficult to be inspired this week. Especially with my little helper around!LOL

All in all though I cannot complain, we have finished painting the playhouse, the living room ceiling has been plastered, PVA'd and a first coat of paint went on yesterday. Guess what's in store today then...well it's either painting or building that little brick wall...hmm, decisions!

Dottie's World- I need flowers!

It's Gunn's turn to set the challenge over at Dottie's World today and she wants us to use flowers on our creations...along with any of the fabby Charmed Downloads obviously!
Now I couldn't resist trying out a few of the new stamps I treated myself to only yesterday and had great fun stamping these out on little scraps of my copic paper...waste not want not! Now I chose a very pale pink paper for this card originally and started working the little girls dress in creams...then I had a complete change of heart and decided to inject some warm, sunny oranges into it...then at about midnight last night, I had to rummage around to find a paper that was more suitable. I do hope it doesn't look too thrown together.
I used "gift for mummy" from the Sugar and Spice collection!

Make sure you pop over to Dottie's World and join in the fun!

Monochomatic Dottie!

It is Gunn's turn to set the challenge for us over at Dottie's World! What a fabby challenge it is too;
"Hello you all.
It is my turn to deceide this week, and I tried to make an easy challenge this time. I want monochromatic and the color to use is WHITE - you can use from the lightest white to ivory and cream. And for a special extraI want you to use a small touch of the lightest brown. Your charmed ones is allowed to have skin and hair colors. A Charmed Download is a must, so don`t forget that one. Have fun with this one.Gunn."

Now I struggled at first trying to decide which image to use but once I'd actually got going it was such great fun. I also struggled with patterned papers not really having anything that was quite suitable so in the end I decided to stick to a basic white card...eek. Now that's something I don't often do! LOL

As well as skin and hair colours I used just E51 Milky White, E51 Raw Silk and my colourless blender. ( and a tiny bit of pale green which I dulled down with my blender too...hope this isn't cheating tooooo much!) I added a bit of detail with Liquid pearlsd and gave some brads a touch of lustre with a glimmery nail varnish!
Come along and join the fun, I'd love to see what you come up with!

Only days to go!!!!!!

...and am I ready....ho ho ho...of course not! I have been hindered by the flu and snow but still optimistic!

Anyway, made another Xmas card yesterday ready for the latest challenge over on Dottie's World. It was Gunn's turn to set the challenge:
"Christmas is only a few days away. Here in Norway we do celebrate christmas eve (24th) with gifts under the christmas tree. In UK and lots of other countries you celebrate christmas morning (25th) with gifts in your stockings. In my family we got a christmas stocking on chrismas morning, not with gifts, but with sweets..... Can you guess what i want...?
Yes, please.. I want you to use a christmas stocking in your card or project. It can be paper, die cuts, punches- whatever and how you want to. The main thing to remember is to use a Charmed downloads to go."
Now I struggled with this, my inspiration is still long lost so eventually I cheated by using an old "Anita's" stamp as a background. I adore the little girl "Market Day" from the new Sugar and Spice download collection- she was a dream to colour!
