Copic Colour Challenge 55
Having a bit of an emotional time of it at the moment, not quite sure whether it's just sibling rivalry or issues with disability but it's SO draining. I feel family time just doesn't exist any more because I am juggling things between the children all the time......hey ho!!!
Anyway, better late than never here's a card for this week's Copic Colour Challenge. I started my card yesterday but I just couldn't get a result I was happy with last night so it sat on my desk until after work this afternoon! Still not 100% happy, I find masculine cards so tricky...it looks rather bare.
This week's colours are;

Copic Colour Challenge #47
Hello every one, well my crafty "me time" is still not really going to plan and all I seem to actually do is make time for the DT card I have to do. My "Grand Desk Clearing" isn't going that well either, progress is slow, but at least it's progress!
Mum is still in hospital and the snow is still falling and still disrupting life here in Kent. At least the children's schools are open again and I have managed a few sessions at work in the Pre-school. Life is plodding along in it's hap-hazard way!
Anyway, here is the card I made for this week's Copic Colour Challenge;
And this week the colours are;
Now I struggled a bit with these colours as I didn't have any of them so I grabbed the closest I did had and set to work with the fabby Puddleduck Pothington stamp from Toodles and Binks!
(Sorry about the lighting, it was dark when I took the pics yesterday and it's darker and gloomier and snowing today so I don't expect to get any better results for a while!)
Pop over & join in the Copic Fun, yet another great sponsor so be in with a chance of some candy!

Copic Colour Challenge #27
My how time is flying...shame my energy isn't doing the same - in fact it has flown off! Still got 2 and a half weeks of the school holidays and running out of ideas, motivation and energy. Finding time to do anything without constant interruption is impossible but saying that Jack did REALLY well with some 11+ work this morning and Amelia was a little angel at the opticians. It makes me really quite proud when I think back to only a few years ago and remember how much I had to struggle with her. Don't get me wrong, she can still be VERY challenging but she is also very often a delight to be with. One very proud mum of two wonderfully different children.
Right enough waffle, need to be getting on with the next 20 things on my "to do list!"
The Copic Colour Challenge this week is sponsored once again by the lovely Kay from Toodles and Binks so I just HAD to use one of her wonderful stamps.....hmmmm which one to choose...decisions, decisions.
This weeks colours are;
Now I will be the first to admit, I struggled with these colours at first. Often I see the colours and almost automatically I can get an idea of papers or an image to use but this one took a while. Eventually it all started to come together...LOL...well hopefully it did.
Excuse the wet glossy accents...in a bit of a rush taking photo this morning!
Stamp- Puddleduck Pothington
Don't forget that Kay stocks her Copics at a fantastic price everyone, so grab a few and play along with the challenge.

R is for Roses!
Over at ABC challenge this week......R is for Roses!
"We would like to see you using roses on your cards...they could be on a stamped image, or on the designer papers, or paper or silk rose embellishments...or in any other way you like...it's entirely up to you!"
WELL, funny enough, I have this new, beautiful rose tapestry background stamp from Toodles and Binks and an Engagement card to make....fitted in perfectly with the Dottie and George Engagement image from the Love & Marriage download collection, he even has a rose between his teeth! LOL I had SO much fun colouring this card, despite it being gone 11pm last night as I was finishing it!
Now the only issue I had was actually covering up the background paper I had so lovingly coloured.....hmmm....I must admit, I did cheat and only coloured in around the edges...would have been a waste of time and Copics otherwise!LOL

Here's something different...
....well different from what I normally do that is!
This morning, there I was in a state of undress, (well joggies and a t-shirt but certainly not presentable!) I had been crawling around on the floor helping Chris put on the clad on panels and kickboards on some of the kitchen cupboards......when there was a knock on the door! To my surprise it was the lovely Kay of Toodles and Binks...with a big brown envelope for me!!!! Well it goes without saying that poor old Chris had to carry on with the kitchen without me while I cut out some rubber and tried out the fabby new stamps! What else did you expect a girl to do?I took a sheet of Basic grey paper (Sugared, Delectable) stamped the beautiful Rose Tapestry Stamp with Memento Rich Cocoa coloured with my Copics and added detail with a copper gel pen.
Sentiment is available on the Rose Tapestry A4 sheet along with other sentiments.
The colours came out a bit darker than I planned, but I suppose I need to experiment working on different papers.

Copics Colour Challenge #11!
Another Wednesday, another challenge over on Copics Colour Challenge.
This week the colours are;
Now with a few new Design Team stamps and images to play with I was completely spoilt for choice this week as to which image to use. Eventually I went with Clive Cockran, one of the latest releases over at Toodles and Binks. Now I had to adapt the colours a bit again...(simply MUST buy some more colours) LOL....I had Y08 Acid , but my closest to E31 Brick Beige was E33 Sand and E35 Chamois and for BG13 I substituted with BG10 Cool Shadow and BG15 Aqua.
Not sure I am 100% with the finished card...I loved the paper I used, had it for years to be honest but the colour really seemed to work....now should I add some photo corners? Think now it would have been better on a dark brown card blank but hey ho, too late now. I love the clean fresh colours!
Some fantastic examples by the rest of the Copics Colour Challenge Design Team so make sure you pop over and check them out. Join in the fun and grab yourself the new blinkie too!

Frantic Friday!!!
Oh goodness it's so wet and gloomy outside...and inside, well Chris has a day off so there are more cupboards going missing from my kitchen...as well as most of my worktops, the makeshift breakfast bar......but in it's place I have my lovely new range cooker....stood there in the middle of the shell of a kitchen just waiting to be installed!!! SOOO impatient, can wait to try it out.
I have left Amelia downstairs colouring and "helping" Chris to put together a new corner cupboard before we wreck a few more of the old ones....thought I'd use a few minutes to pop up and blog about some crafting.
First I have a card to show you. I have been wanting to use this image (from the Holly & Madison World Tour Collection ) for a while now and I just hadn't got a chance to, until now. I took inspiration from the pack of Dovecraft- Wild Blossom papers I treated myself to a few days ago and the results are....erm...rather bright. LOL. just what we need on such a dull day!
Coloured with my copics and attacked with glitter gel pens. I am in love with those hydrangea blooms - so textural.
Now on to some more really exciting news from Toodles and Binks.
Make sure you check out the chance for some blog candy and also see the first image of a brand new range of stamps designed by the lovely Sally-Ann Hancock.

Toodles and Binks meets BasicGrey!
Now not normally being one to make Easter Cards I have surprised myself this year and made a few...well how could I resist using the scrummy stamps from Toodles and Binks! In a similar style to my last Easter card using Amelie Bunnykins, this time I used the same range of paper, Sugared by Basic Grey and used the pretty little stamp Chickadee. I loved colouring these images in with my copics and tried to take inspiration of an enamelled effect for the pretty eggs! Not quite sure the "enamelled effect came over but fairly pleased with the result all the same.
I made this also inspired by this weeks challenge over on BasicGrey Challenges.

Copics Colour Challenge #8
I cannot believe that we are already on challenge 8!!!! How time flies!
This week the lovely Kay of Toodles and Binks is sponsoring the challenge and I was lucky enough to choose the colours for this one. Well, I took inspiration from the packaging on the new Toodles and Binks stamps that were sitting on my desk at the time...and thought it only right to try them out on this weeks challenge.
I used the Amelie Bunnykins stamp which was just wonderful to colour, I loved all the detail on the eggs which I highlighted with a metallic pen.
Candy up for grabs for this weeks challenge so make sure you pop over to see the fabby examples the rest of the Design Team have come up with and then join us for the chance of some new rubbah stamps!
Paper is Basic Grey - Sugared collection
Copics used;
E33 sand, E35 chamois, E53 raw silk, E51 milky white, E02 fruit pink, E04 lipstick natural, RV29 crimson, R59 cardinal, YG67 moss, G21 lime green, E57 light walnut, E47 dark brown.

Imaginisce meets Toodles and Binks!!!
This card has taken so many changes today. The idea came to me in the middle of the night (!!!) when I was thinking about what to work on next and ways to use some of the design team images. I thought about incorporating the little Imaginisce Snag'em Stamps I have fairly recently treated myself to...but never used!! So after breakfast I set to work on this idea with a blog sketch challenge but somehow it just never worked out with the proportion of the images and the layout required. I also couldn't face myself to cover up any more of the beautiful Fairest of them all glittery paper! Then I decided to make a little matching topper/tag to meet the requirement of this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge!
"This weeks challenge is to make a matching set! You could make a matching card and envelope, a card and tag, a card and ATC, a LO and a tag - the combinations are endless!"
Now I am not actually sure whether or not to make it into a tag or even use it inside the card or on the envelope....decisions, decisions! I have so enjoyed going all girly and glittery though!
I used the beautiful Celeste stamp from Toodles and Binks but I must admit to panicking a bit whilst trying to colour her dress, I MUST get myself some different card for my copics!
Here are the colours I used:
Here are the colours I used:
E00 Skin white, E21 baby skin pink, E02 Fruit pink, RV21 light pink, RV23 pure pink, E04 lipstick natural, Y17 Golden yellowYR23 yellow orchre, B32 pale blue, B23 phthalo blue, C1 cool gray and C3 cool gray.

Tidy up time!
It's a saying I am so familair with working with, and having children of my own!
"TIDY UP TIME!"
I decided to take a bit of my own medicine so to speak, and start finishing off some of the unfinished bits and bobs all over my desk. (blush) Here is a card a friend asked me to make, feeling quite pleased with myself as it's not needed until April! I used the lovely Simone stamp by Toodles and Binks together with K& Co papers, lace and flowers cut with Sizzix Charms die.
To finish off for today I thought I'd show you a pic of Amelia coming home from schoool this afternoon. I know Daddy is home but don't expect this from me everyday will you Amelia!!!
