Irrestistable!

I just couldn't resist this design from Mo Manning. I played around with some My Minds Eye papers today and had a bit of a change from my usual colours. Loved working with the more earthy tones...and look forward to my latest batch of copics arriving! Whoo hoo!
Anyway, enough of the waffle, must get on!

A quick cutie!

A bit of a rush card for hubby to take into work tomorrow-not 100% happy with it, but hey ho!

I made this using inspiration from the Challenge over at Cute Card Thursday.
"This week we want to see you use eyelets on your card or project. If like me you have them in the hundreds then you will have no problem finding some hanging around at the bottom of a pile of stash...."

Charm and paper from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie.

Copic Buzz Challenge- Animal Antics!

Well it's about time I started getting myself organised, had a bit of a panic last night with my mum, (Mum is you are reading this you are very naughty and I will slap your wrist next time I see you!) I still have SO much to catch up on but I seem to be stuck in "go slow mode" after the mayhem of the last few weeks. I really must get kickstarted and get myself prepared and organised.
Anyway let's get down to some crafty chatter! Yesterday afternoon, Barbara from Copic Buzz Challenge requested for a little bit of help and I jumped in with both feet and no brain, to set todays challenge over on Paper Craft Planet.
In between pacing up and down and trying to get the children settled I threw together a card for

"Anyway the challenge this week is to include some type of animal in your creations, it could be something mystical and magical or a basic domestic pet...there is so much choice out there and I cannot wait to see what you all come up with."

Copic Buzz Challenge.

Been a funny day today, Chris has been trying to sort out the playhouse and the garage, I am still playing catch up with the house, the garden, crafting, well everything really! But it all came to a grinding halt this afternoon when I decided to make some fruity flapjacks.....YUM!

Just finished putting together a card for a 10 year old girl into dancing, I have got another image coloured in too all ready to be made up into a card. I did this for this week's challnge over on Copic Buzz which is "HAIR!"

Dottie's World- Razzle Dazzle!

It's my turn to set the challenge over at Dottie's World today and as you may know, recentlyI have been a bit busy with studying amongst other things but now I have completed my course and have a bit more time to craft I want to celebrate with a bit of glitz.
I am not really a "bling" type of gal but lets see a bit of razzle dazzle this week please. It could be metallic papers, gems, glitter...whatever takes your fancy but don't forget to include a charmed download!
Here's what I ended up with:
I was quite please with my brads- I covered them with liquid pearls and dipped them in my fine irredescent glitter.....LOL....messy but quite effective.
POp over to see the wonderful creations from the rest of the Design Team, you will not be dissappointed!

A little Sugar for me!

Just quickly trying to make up a few cards with the images I have already coloured. My first is a Gorjuss Girl using this weeks challenge over at The Sugar Bowl!

I HAVE FINISHED!!!!

YIPPPPPEEEEEEE!!!!!

It was about 6 weeks ago, I was only at 31% complete with my NVQ3 in Childcare and a deadline was dropped on me from a great height. I never imagined that I would have had any chance at all to complete by the end of July. BUT here we are, with over a week still to go and I have done it! Spent 2 and a half hours on the phone last night having professional discussion to complete all the outstanding criteria and today I just need to sign a sign a few forms and finalise the paperwork.

Funny, I feel a bit lost now!LOL

Going to get myself up to date with a few other things, I still have children records to update for work as they have been pushed to one side for a while and then there is still all the policies and procedures to update. I think a bit of planning is required so I can start to get myself organised but still have some much needed, quality time with Chris and the children...................

...............and my Copics too! LOL.

Emotions-What a funny ol' day!

Emotions are in a bit of a jumble at the moment. I am missing time with my family and my crafting. All I seem to have done for the last month or so is this rotten NVQ. I have gone from being 31% complete in mid June to hitting 85% last night. I have spent all day doing another written assignment and I have TWO MORE to complete. I have got a professional discussion/phone assessment booked in for 8pm this evening and hoping to complete the lot tonight! (PLEASE cross your fingers for me- I NEED to get this done and dusted.)

I have worked so hard but feel I have left so many other people down, including my family and the Design Teams I am on! I can only apologise and hope that i can get back to my copics VERY soon. I so need a bit of crafty therapy.

On top of all that it's Amelia's last day at mainstream school and I really cannot help but feel bitter towards the educational system and the complete lack of inclusion that we have had to suffer over the last 4 and a half years. She is going to a brilliant school in September- I cannot deny that but she was in tears last night telling me she was missing her friends already! I think I am going to have to have a LOT of tea parties!

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello to anyone who still passes by and I hope to be crafting again very soon......erm....like TOMORROW! LOL

Another Pixie goes Copic!

Trying to finish off a few of the half completed projects I have from last night- a handful of coloured images still to go!
This little Pixie was inspired by a challenge over on Copic Buzz! which this week is Transparent!

I used Dreamer from Pixie Chicks collection #1.

A framed Pixie!

I am plodding through my NVQ still- got nearly all my written work up to date but waiting for my assessor to go through it now. Hopefully the end is in sight and I still have a few weeks to go until the deadline.
I started blitzing the house yesterday and then I allowed myself a little bit of time last night to craft...unfortunately I was so shattered I fell asleep after only colouring a few images! Ooops!
I usually get up about 5.30-6.00 with Amelia but she came in late this morning at 8.40am! Goodness-haven't laid in that late for years! Problem being that was going to be my crafty time!LOL.
Anyway, managed to finish my latest card. I have several to make for the children's teachers so I need to get a move on! This one is for this weeks challenge over at Dottie's World. Tara set it this week and she said;
I would like to see you creating some sort of a frame or border on your card. You could create a frame for your image, your card or both. Feel free to use the downloads for your frame, or you could try stamping elements, die cutting, punching shapes, embellishments......... anything goes really! Just remember to use one of our downloads for your main image too!
I used Water Lily from the Pixie Chicks #2 collection and framed her with an embossed frame made with my nesties and some blooms and leaves.
I am also entering this into Karen's blog candy! Do not miss out on this one!

Copic Colour Challenge goes Peachy!

Well, it's Challenge #22 over at the Copic Colour Challenge Blog and this week the lovely Maddy has made up a sketch to follow.
The Design Team all had a bit of treat this week too as we got to play with some stamps from Peachy Keen! who are this week's sponsors. I struggled to choose but eventually I went for Teddy Angel and I am SO, SO glad I did. He was a dream to colour! I just love this little fella!
I did have to adapt my layout slightly- I do hope Maddy doesn't mind!
Pop over take a look at the other examples from the DT and reach for those Copics to be in with a chance of some Peachy Candy!
Right, all this craftiness....back to the dreaded NVQ! I have been galavanting around a sportsfield with Jack this morning at his sports day!

A baby card for Papertake!

A last minute entry from me, my sister asked for a baby card for twin girls so I threw my text books to one side and got crafting for a little while!

This weeks challenge over on Papertake is: My Favourite Things.
You can really indulge yourselves here - use anything you want as long as there is something favourite of yours on there. So it could be a stamp, or your fave colour combi or papers. Or all of them put together.
Here's what I ended up with;
Goodness I have so many favs;I love making baby cards, blooms especially hydrangeas, copics are a MUST have, metal spacers, pink and green, glittery pens and papers...shall I go on!

Time out with Penny Black!

I am in much need of a little break from my study but it can only be a very short break as I am now only at 69% complete with just over a fortnight to go! EEK! Still, it's better than the 31% I was at a short while ago!

My friend asked me to make her a card so I didn't need much of an excuse to have a short ime out this afternoon to play with my copics. I have used this "Cute" image from Penny Black, paper from BasicGrey-Sugared and swirl using my sizzix "flourish" die!

I made this for this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Right, a quick bit of dinner with Chris and the kiddies and back to the text books!!! It was great while it lasted!

Blooming Beautiful over at Dottie's!

I have been working non-stop with my NVQ, absolutely shattered and now full of cold. My head is pounding, I have a very croaky voice and feeling pretty down to be honest. I have submitted 25 written assessments still waiting for feedback so I cannot even judge any progress I have made.

Anyway, I thought I deserved a little break over the weekend to catch up on a few Design Team projects...so here my first!
Over at Dottie's World! Blooming Beautiful!
"The summer bedding is looking so beautiful at the moment, so this week I would like you to look to your garden (or someone else's garden) for inspiration, be it using flowers on your card, using colours from your garden or it could be some garden wildlife or bug! As usual, use a Charmed download and let your imagination run riot."
I quickly made this up late last night- I just love these Pixies!

I have used Daisy2 from the Pixie Chicks #1 collection
