Vintage suitcase...part 2!

This morning I was eager to check out how the suitcase has dried out...quite pleased with the results and keen to move on to the next stage of the old baggage revamp!

After ripping pages out of an old book, I made up a PVA mix and decoupaged a new lining for the suitcase. It's dried quite well and has also given the case a bit more rigidity.

I need to rummage around the still chaotic garage to look for supplies next...wish me luck, I could be gone a long time!

Old suitcases!!!!!

I have failed miserably at decluttering!!!! In fact rather than getting rid of stuff, yesterday I bought an old suitcase from ebay but on collecting it, I came away with not just one, but four!!!!

Here are the first two I have started working on today.

Tying to concentrate on just the smaller case, I got out the paint and sat in the garden.

A few coats of paint later and a bit of de-stressing I set upon ripping up a paperback book.

Just waiting for it to dry now before I can start the next stage!

Not very productive but nothing more enjoyable than sitting in the garden on a sunny Sunday afternoon, just wasting time with paint and old paper!!

Bye for now.

Causing chaos in the garage!

Over the last couple of weekends we have attempted to start de-cluttering and re-organising the garage!! Not a task for the faint hearted! After taking out the old, base corner cupboard and rearranging the base units we made a start on the wall cupboards...absolute chaos with all the contents precariously stacked all over the garage.

I thought I'd use some of the green paint I had left over for what will hopefully give the garage a nice fresh, brighter look.

We have loads of these old wooden crates...which I fancied giving a bit of a revamp...

LOVED the way the metal edges came out after I had attacked them with some sand paper...

I wanted to buy some stencils to mark up the boxes in a more professional looking manner but my eagerness won me over and we have ended up with a rough, rustic and very much hand painted effect! LOL

Must admit it was a nice little creative break in between painting cupboard doors!

Still a long, long way to go but small steps in the right direction.

Bye for now.

Same old stuff!!!

I cannot believe it has taken me so long to actually sit down and sort out how to access my blog!!! Hey ho.....nothing much changes anyhow! LOL

I am still in constant pain, now more than ever, I am still living in a state of permanent chaos, projects around the house and garden started but never completed - running out of time, energy and/or motivation is just the way I roll!

In an attempt to accept and distract myself from my pain I am trying to throw myself back into crafting but even so, it's still a bit of a roller coaster of emotions and energy (or lack of it!)

I have however managed to make several bracelets over the last few weeks....not much but it's a step in the right direction.

I haven't managed much this last week because we are attempting to re-organise, de-clutter and decorate the garage. I say we but it's mostly Chris but I have managed a little bit of painting here and there but suffer terribly afterwards. It seems I just cannot win. LOL

Hope to share some more craft chaos with you soon.
