Wedding Invitations!

A very lovely family I know have a bit of an appeal for help going on. They are always the first to help out others and are the some of the kindest and thoughtful people I know. Now I couldn't ignore the call out and rather than donate money, I have offered to make a few bits and bobs for them. Yesterday I finished off their Wedding Invitations.

Wedding Invitations now made I have just one week to get "stuff" sorted for my Birthday Party. Currently my breakfast bar in covered in glitter....well in fact there is glitter scattered all over the house.

I have a lot to do over the next few days but I want to enjoy it. As usual, so many ideas, so little time and energy to put any of them to use.

Onwards and upwards.

Exploding Gift Box for Wedding

It's been a VERY long time since I have done any paper crafting. Well, just getting into my craft room was a challenge in itself. Once in there I spent more time shifting boxes and looking for things than actually crafting.

After I got going it dawned on me exactly how much I enjoy being creative and I was annoyed at myself for once again leaving things to the last minute.

Here are a few pics of the box I made. I wasn't sure of a colour theme so I tried to make it a bit of a combination of colours.

I do hope the recipients like it, I thoroughly enjoyed making it.

A Wedding Card to match my exploding box!

As usual, everything has got to pot here, all getting prepared for the Wedding at the weekend and Amelia came home from school yesterday afternoon with a really bad upset tummy! SO, I lost another day's work today(and pay) and my "schedule" has gone out the window. Jack's stomach came out in sympathy this morning so I have two very grumpy, irratable children at home to "HELP" me catch up on everything!

Luckily I had prepared most of the Wedding card yesterday, it just needed inking, sticking, and attacking with metallic rub-ons etc......so thankfully, it is now done and sitting on the side with it's little matching exploding box as the Liquid pearl flower centres on the inside of the card dries out!

A very simple card- I replicated the basic design on the inside to include a personalised greeting.

I took added inspiration from the latest challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges- Clean and Simple.

I used scraps of Basic Grey to cut layers of the Tattered Flower, then backed more BG paper onto card and cut the little hearts using a Sizzix die. I believe the papers to be scraps of BG Two Scoops- Dreamsicle???? Perhaps someone could confirm if you can still see the paper design underneath all the ink and metallic rub-ons I have used!!

Well, it's time for a light lunch with my fragile tummied children, then I may TRY to make the most of an unplaned, unpaid day off by making another card...or two!!

Exploding Box for Wedding Keepsake!

About one month after I first started this, today I eventally got around to finishing the inside of my exploding box. I have kept most of the inside pretty basic, using Nesties I made up little frames ready for the bride and groom to slip in their keepsake pics and memories.

I really had fun making this, I do hope the Happy Couple like it.

Hopefully I'll blog again soon with another card....as I have several I MUST make! LOL, nothing like leaving things to the last minute is there?

Wedding Invitation samples.

Things are hectic in the "Dingle House." Chris is starting a day release course from work, this means his already overloaded work schedule is being crammed into a 4 day week. I am helping to cover sickness at work and fitting in 5 session a week at the Pre-school for a little while.

It was my "day off" today so after trying to catch up on the boring things like phone call and housework, I decided to start putting together the ideas I had for a Wedding Invitation enquiry I have had.

Very basic design but I think I would have preferred that the dotty paper was blue and perhaps the ribbon was wider.

Still, it has long last got me in my craft room.....still can't really see my desk though! LOL

I am determined to get creative again this year, perhaps I need some new goodies to play with to inspire me!
