Gorjuss Copic Colour Challenge #28

Oh my....I had forgotten how little I seem to achieve in the school holidays. Keeping my sanity intact, or at least what little I have left, is a full time mission in itself. The only crafting I am managing is the odd DT card and even then they seem to sit on my desk for ages as I manage to grab a few minutes without interruptions. LOL...as I am sitting here typing Amelia wants me to build a camp, play schools, go in the garden, play this, do that......I am feeling rather drained tro say the least!
Anyway, eventually I managed to make a card for this week's Copic Colour Challenge which is sponsored by the Craft Barn this week...make sure you play along to be in with a chance of a £15 voucher.
This week the colours are;

Don't forget, you don't need to have the exact coplours or use all three, just the closest Copics that you have. Here is what I came up with.
Charm and spacer by Quixotic Paperie...love these butterflies, must get some more but when I get there I spend so much time dithering over all the choices! Go and check them out.

Dottie shapes up!

It's Junes first challenge with us over at Dottie's World and today she would like us to "make something a little different, perhaps a tag or a box, or something altered, Maybe a shaped card, but not the normal shape. You must use a charmed dowload, and let your imagination run wild!. Cant wait to see what everyone comes up with."

Now I struggle with shaped card...I am stuck in my little square card rut and on top of that my crafting mojo has run off somewhere and the lack of uninterrupted time has really taken it's toll!
Still.....eventually I came up with this!
Not sure about it to be honest, but it was fun trying out something different. Pop over and get loads of inspiration from the rest of the team and join in the fun.

Copic Colour Challenge #27

My how time is flying...shame my energy isn't doing the same - in fact it has flown off! Still got 2 and a half weeks of the school holidays and running out of ideas, motivation and energy. Finding time to do anything without constant interruption is impossible but saying that Jack did REALLY well with some 11+ work this morning and Amelia was a little angel at the opticians. It makes me really quite proud when I think back to only a few years ago and remember how much I had to struggle with her. Don't get me wrong, she can still be VERY challenging but she is also very often a delight to be with. One very proud mum of two wonderfully different children.

Right enough waffle, need to be getting on with the next 20 things on my "to do list!"
The Copic Colour Challenge this week is sponsored once again by the lovely Kay from Toodles and Binks so I just HAD to use one of her wonderful stamps.....hmmmm which one to choose...decisions, decisions.

This weeks colours are;

Now I will be the first to admit, I struggled with these colours at first. Often I see the colours and almost automatically I can get an idea of papers or an image to use but this one took a while. Eventually it all started to come together...LOL...well hopefully it did.

Excuse the wet glossy accents...in a bit of a rush taking photo this morning!

Don't forget that Kay stocks her Copics at a fantastic price everyone, so grab a few and play along with the challenge.

Dottie gets all romantic!

Sorry everyone but it had to be done! When I noticed I had to set the challenge over on Dottie's World today I just couldn't resist it.

I can blame it all on the stars, I am a dreamy, head in the clouds, Piscean after all!

Who said Romance is dead!
Today is my 12th Wedding Anniversary and I want to see that romance isn't dead. I adore making cards but making cards for those people in my life who are truely special to me is the best type of cardmaking of all! So show me hearts and roses, flowers and swirls, just whatever makes you picture dreaminess and romance! Hmmm...now don't forget to include a Charmed Download of course....I cannot wait to see what you all come up with!Here are a few dreamy examples from the Design Team, make sure you play along too and show us that Romance ISN'T dead!
Grab your Charmed downloads and join in the challenge.

Copic Buzz Challenge #9

This poor little card has been sitting on my desk, in various stages for days and days! I am just not getting "quality craft time" and have so many other things going on with the children at home. Anyway I made this one for this week's challenge over at Copic Buzz!

Copic Colour Challenge # 26

Oh dear, I am getting so little time to craft I am hardly keeping afloat with the DT stuff, certainly no time to play! Anyway, it's Wednesday which means another Copic Colour Challenge which this week is sponsored by Katie Cotton of the fabulous Paper Makeup Stamps. There are some beautiful stamps up for grabs so make sure you grab those Copics and join in the fun. This week the colours are;
Remember you don't need to use the exact colours, or even all three, as long as you use the nearest colour/s you have. Here's my effort:

Sorry, colours are awful as I took them last night, would re-do them but it's no brighter here at the moment, very gloomy and dull!

Dottie Digi Downloads go Monochromatic!

This weeks over at Dottie's World it's Nicole's first time at setting the challenge, and a great one it is too! Here'e what she said:

"Hello and Happy Sunday. It's another fun challenge for this week at Dottie's World.I'm hosting...for the first time.I'm so excited to share with you what the design team came up with for this challenge-these ladies are just so talented.And The guest designer for this month Trudy is just so super talented; we are so happy to have her along with us this month.Anyways, the challenge for this week is monochromatic. Everything on your card has to be one color...all and any shades of one color.You must use a Charmed Download.The charmed download can be colored in any color(s).Have fun and I can't wait to see what you come up with!-Nicole"

Now I have had this image printed and coloured together with the paper chosen for a few days ages now but still didn't finish the actual card 'til late last night! Always struggling to get ahead but never quite managing it!
Make sure you pop over to Dottie's World and see the creations from the rest of the DT for some fabulous monochromatic inspiration!
I also took inspiration from this week's challenge over at Papertake Weekly which is Four Seasons!
I used Holly from Pixie Chicks #1.

It's all black and white over at Dottie's World!

It's Sunday, it's time for a new challenge over at Dottie's World!
Here is Gunn's challenge:
"I want you to make a card that goes in black and white. You can use all shades of black and white. Skin tones are allowed on skin....Elements are great on cards- charms, flowers or what ever you like. On these elements I want you to have ONE other color, just to make an contrast to the black and white. You don`t need to have this color on all the elements, but one should have the color you choose.Of course, remember to include Charmed downloads. Have fun and play along!"
I struggled to find papers that would suit this challenge but eventually I decided on a Junkitz paper that looked quite "dreamy!" Thought it worked OK!
I did cheat a bit and as well as the red I used a little bit of green for the leaves and eyes...but it was green grey! This is the first time I have attempted "black" hair so please be gentle!
